No current vacancies

ISIA does not currently have an open Secretariat position advertised.

When a position becomes available, this section will provide the role description, required experience, application instructions and closing date. ISIA has previously recruited roles supporting operations, membership services and professional training; only opportunities expressly listed as open on this page should be treated as current vacancies.

ISIA welcomes practical partnerships with professional accountancy organisations, education providers, government agencies, employers, development partners and private-sector bodies. Collaboration should strengthen professional capability, ethical practice, public confidence or access to relevant accounting education.

Published ISIA initiatives have included:

  • Professional education: ISIA signed a partnership agreement with the Institute of Public Accountants in 2022, supported by the Australian Aid Program and delivered with Monarch Institute, to establish the Professional Diploma in Accounting.
  • Academic pathways: ISIA and Solomon Islands National University signed a memorandum of understanding in August 2022 to strengthen cooperation and develop skills relevant to the accounting profession and business sector.
  • Technical and leadership development: ISIA has worked with CPA Australia on technical workshops and women’s leadership development, and collaborated with SICCI and SIWIBA on Women in Executive Leadership Solomon Islands.
  • Institutional capacity: Australian Government support has helped ISIA strengthen professional development, regulatory capability and services for the accounting profession.

Organisations proposing a partnership should outline the shared objective, intended participants, expected contribution from each party and an indicative timeframe. Contact the Secretariat to begin a discussion.

Members can take part in the Institute’s work beyond maintaining their membership. Opportunities may include:

  • Learning and CPD: attend professional training, information sessions, congresses and other ISIA events.
  • Sharing expertise: contribute as a speaker, facilitator, panellist, mentor or technical resource when expressions of interest are invited.
  • Shaping the profession: respond to consultations, attend member information sessions and contribute to committees or working groups when calls are issued.
  • Professional networks: participate in initiatives that connect accountants across sectors and support emerging professionals and leaders.

Availability and eligibility vary by activity. Open calls and deadlines will be published through News and Events.
